Hello,

that's a quite good idea, so here we go:

I'm Rainer Jochem, 23, currently studying computer science at Saarland
University in Germany and also own a Z1 XMP and have almost everything
running now what I currently need (except the touchpad with scrolling
functionality and suspend modes).

hmm... just read it -- somehow I just like the computer terms in
french language... everything sounds twice as interesting ;)

I guess if one translates this document into english and perhaps
add some other configurations with additional tips&tricks from other
people here, this will be a quite good reference.

Exactly... that's also the case why I've bought me this sony instead
of some other (and perhaps cheaper) laptop because almost everything
just works out of the box.

well, once it is completed :)

yep... has anyone here some experience with it? e.g. getting at least
suspend to disk working or so?

So, happy holidays then :)

Cheers,

Rainer
