Scuse my really bad english, I don't practice a lot at this moment.

Hi u all,

The common netiquette about mailing list ask us to present ourselves to
other subscribers.

Well, My name is Greg FABRE (zeemax at iero dot org),I'm 22 and I'm a
french student in Informatic and electronic Ingeneer school (ESIEE
http://www.esiee.fr). I will be in the university of Laval in Quebec
(Canada) the following year.

I own a Sony Vaio Z1 xmp since april 2004 with a Gnu/Linux Gentoo with
linux 2.6.4 (actually). I've wrote a 60 pages LaTeX documentation
(in french, sorry) which is downloadable on my website
(http://www.iero.org) to explain how to configure (not install, just
configure) the distro to work on Z1 laptops.

For the community, an idea will be to write in common (together) a
complete documentation which cover all the different parts of our z1
computers. It will be quick I think, because gnu/linux is working very
well on sony's computers.

They are other jobs to realize too. For exemple :
- The winmodem ich4
- The ipw2200 project for the wifi part
- the suspend mode
- etc..

For the moment, I will not be very active, because, I'm in summer
hollydays, on the beach, and my laptops generally doesn't like the sand
and the salt watter :-)

See you.

Zeemax.
