From bug #1730, if I understand correctly, there are two diff models of 
Sony-z1. One with Intel graphics video and the other with ATI-Radeon.
Systems with Intel video don't need vgapost workaround (and also bug #3177)
Systems with ATI graphics cards need vgapost workaround (and also bug #3670)
