I have been following this list with great interest. I have owned and used a
Z1RMP for ~10 months and have been limping along using fedora core 1. Since
the strong support for the new kernel in fedora core 3, I am now ready to
upgrade and get all the nice features of this laptop working. I would really
appreciate an order of things to do so I don't screw-up to badly. Though I am
concerned about comments on Xorg - will I need to replace this with XFree86?
My plan is as follows:
1) Upgrade FC1 to FC3
2) Run yum or up2date to fix all the release issues
3) Download and install the wireless bits from http://ipw2100.sourceforge.net/
4) install sonypid and spicctrl
4) install xosd and sonyxosd
Is that it, or have I missed something? Or from those that have successfully
loaded FC3 or any of the pre releases, can you recommend alternative steps.
If there is no report on monday, I will have come to grief!
Comments, encouragement/discouragement apprerciated
