that's my situation on a debian unstable:
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_PROC_INTF=m
# CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_DEFAULT_GOV_PERFORMANCE is not set
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_DEFAULT_GOV_USERSPACE=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_PERFORMANCE=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_POWERSAVE=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_USERSPACE=y
# CPUFreq processor drivers
CONFIG_X86_ACPI_CPUFREQ=y
LCD brightness is set to 150/250 when unplugged.
wireless is in use, checking mail every hour.
bluetooth interface down and doing nothing
cpudyn running like this:
/usr/sbin/cpudynd -i 1 -p 0.5 0.7 -l 7 -t 120 -h /dev/hda
noflushd running:
/usr/sbin/noflushd -n 1 /dev/hda
but I guess this last thing is useless couse gkrellm says there is some
process that constantly writes to the disk every minute.. (all ext3
partition mounted with noatime option, syslogd -m 30 running)
optical usb mouse plugged.
average processor temperature is around 48 degrees, hd temperature is
around 50.
I'm doing really nothing, no processes running hard, just mozilla
hanging open and some open shells around.
battery lasted exactly 3 hours on my pcg-z1rmp.
the most scaring thing is the temperature of the hard disk that keeps
spinning and heating up...
ciao,
leonardo.
